Today was a scheduled run day but it didn't happen. I had a really busy week at work and today I had to travel for work which means I had to get up and get out early. When I got home I didn't think about running at all.....today is Friday and I don't like doing ANYTHING on Fridays but CHILL! I hate to get out of my routine so soon but I'll get back on it soon.

Decided to push myself a little harder today when I went for my run. It turned out to work very well. I am weird in that I like to "feel" my runs the day after. I felt like I had pushed myself harder this go round and am looking forward to doing it again and again.

Got up this morning for the very first run of my training and it went pretty well. I could have pushed myself a little harder but decided to take it easy the first day. It felt good to get back moving again. By the way....today is my anniversary....what a great day to start my training!
Soooooo why do I want to run a half-marathon.......well I have been out of the loop of running for some time now so I wanted to set myself up for a challenge that was pretty big and that would have big rewards. I've never run a half-marathon and I KNOW I'm capable of doing so. So here I am on a new journey in my life and looking forward to journaling as I go through this with hopes that it will keep me motivated! Here we go.............
